Position the safety gear, governor, and tensioning weight

The safety gear, the overspeed governor, and the tensioning weight all belong to the same component chain under the car frame or CWT.

Prerequisites

  • A DigiPara Liftdesigner project is open, with a car frame with safety gear already present.

Steps

  1. Select the safety gear unit to display its properties in the Properties window.
If you can't select it directly in the drawing, use the Breadcrumb to locate it instead.

  2. Set the trigger point position.
Under [0165] Force Attack Point → Location, select the side for the safety gear's trigger point. The governor and tensioning weight will follow this location.

  3. Adapt the angle of the governor.
Click the Overspeed Governor link in the Breadcrumb to open its properties, and switch the governor's application point under [0171] XY-Direction → Preset directions (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°, or Manually). The tenioning weight will follow this set up.

Result

Once you change the safety gear trigger point position, the corresponding section of your drawing updates to show the safety gear and governor mirrored to the new side.
