Prerequisites
A DigiPara Liftdesigner project is open.
The Car Frame component is active in the project.
Properties docking window active.
NOTE: The central guided and the L-Type frames have different properties. Below are the central guided frame properties described as an example.
Select and dimension a car frame
Steps
Activate the car frame properties window.
Click the Car Frame directly in the project to select it — its properties appear in the Properties docking window.Change the guide shoes vertical position.
Change the DZ distance property to Manually to set up a new position.Adapt the buffer impact point.
Change the pulley beam (if available) location and suspension type.
Adapt the distance between guides.
Change the frame height.
Result: The elevator car uses the car frame product and dimensions you selected.
Set Car-Frame-to-Guide Distances Independently
The left and right distances between the car frame and the guide rails can now be set independently. Previously, both sides were always updated together symmetrically.
Steps
Select the car-frame object (LDXCarFrame) in the project tree.
Activate the mode flag
CFD_MODE_CAR_2GUIDES_SEPARATED. This decouples the two sides and exposes two separate properties.Enter values for Car wall to guides left and Car wall to guides right independently. Modifying one side no longer affects the other.
Check validation: an automatic check ensures that asymmetric distances do not cause positioning conflicts with related components such as safety gear, oil buffers, or rail bracket attachments.
Behavior in special configurations
Double Decker: Left and right values apply consistently to both the upper and lower cabins, maintaining vertical alignment.
TWIN: Values apply to both independent cars in the shared shaft.
Pitfalls
While the legacy symmetric property is in use, the two individual properties are hidden to avoid confusion.
Always review validation messages for asymmetric distances before continuing to configure dependent components.
Result
The car frame is positioned with independent left/right distances to the guide rails; conflicts with safety and mounting components are ruled out.
