Export a Manufacturer Module

Package a manufacturer module into a single file, so you can share with other users or transfer to another workstation.

Written by Sabine Bunese

Prerequisites

  • The manufacturer module you want to export exists in your data pool, with all changes saved.

  • The DataManager and Poolmanager are both installed.

Steps

  1. Close any open data grid tables.
The export reads the saved database state, not open, unsaved edits.

  2. Click Options tab → Export Data group → Export Manufacturer Modules.
The Poolmanager's Manage Modules window opens automatically, listing every manufacturer module in the data pool with its Selection checkbox, Manufacturer name, Status (Valid/expired), Expiration date, and Module RID.

  3. Click Unselect All.
This prevents other modules from being exported by accident alongside the one you want.

  4. Find your manufacturer module in the list.
Check its Selection box (status should show Valid).

  5. Choose your additional export settings, as needed:

    • Verify RID content - checks that parent/child record references (RIDs) in the module's tables actually resolve to each other, and writes one entry to the event log for every mismatch it finds.

    • Add annotate files - export the Word files with the row comments.

    • Add CAD files - export the CAD files inserted directly in the project via the Insert CAD Part dialog.

    • Add Profile Group Nodes files - export node files created via Develop this BIM Component.

    • Create Export TXT file - exports the data tables in txt format.

    • Create SQL file - exports the additional SQL file for comparison.

    • Add Texture files - exports all files related to the surfaces materials.

    • Check Sheets files - checks whether all sheet files (.lds) in the sheet group are registered in the Module Files table. Any missing data will be automatically added to the table.

    • Check Sheet Frames files - checks whether all view frame files (.ldf) in the view frame group are registered in the Module Files table. Any missing data will be automatically added to the table.

  6. Click Export modules.

  7. Locate the exported file.
Click Open Export Directory to jump straight to it, or find it manually under the data pool's Export folder (usually C:\ProgramData\DigiPara\dcc\DataPool\data\Export). It's a *.ldm12 file, ready to share with other users — for example via email, a shared drive, or the DigiPara Cloud.

Result

One or more *.ldm12 module files containing your manufacturer's components or drawing template, ready to hand to another user or import on another workstation.
