Configure ventilation windows

Add a ventilation window to a machine room or a ventilation (deairing) opening to a shaft

Written by Sabine Bunese

Prerequisites

  • A DigiPara Liftdesigner project is open, with a machine room or shaft wall where the ventilation window or deairing is needed.

Set up the ventilation window

Steps

  1. Choose the ventilation window type.
Select the ventilation window component via Breadcrumb, model or data tree and open the Select Product window to choose a type.

  2. Set the location.
In the Wall property, choose the wall the ventilation window sits in:
    - Front: Moves the ventilation window to the front machine room wall.
    - Rear: Moves the ventilation window to the rear machine room wall.
    - Left: Moves the ventilation window to the left machine room wall.
    - Right: Moves the ventilation window to the right machine room wall.
    - Ceiling: Moves the ventilation window to the shaft/MR ceiling.

  3. Set the position on the wall.
X0 (distance to the wall BP in the shaft X-axis) and Z0 (distance to the wall BP in the shaft Y-axis), and Angle (the installation angle within the selected wall side).

  4. Set the Ventilation Size (optional)
Depending on the component model you choose, it's possible to edit the Width, Depth, and Height of the ventilation window.

  5. Set the Hole Size (optional)
Width and Depth of the opening cut into the wall.

  6. Activate a Cover (optional)
Depending on the component model you choose, it's possible to set up the ventilation window cover.

    • With / Without: activates or deactivates the cover.

    • Cover width, Cover depth, Cover height: size of the upper cover section.

    • Cover base width, Cover base depth: size of the cover base.

    • Cover total height: total length of the cover in the y-direction.

  7. Set the Base Plate Size (optional)
Depending on the component model you choose, it's possible to set the Width and Depth of the plate.

Result: The shaft ventilation opening is positioned, sized, and — if you chose to — covered and based as configured.
