Installation process

Running the Setup

  1. After downloading, locate the installation file (DigiParaElevatorarchitect_RevitPlugin_25_XX_XXX_XX.msi).

  2. Click the file to start the setup process.

  3. The Install Wizard will guide you through the remaining steps of the installation.

Logging in

Once the installation is complete, you can start using the Add-In:

  • Open Revit.

  • Navigate to the Add-Ins tab in the Revit ribbon.

  • Look for the group labeled 'Digipara Elevatorarchitect for Revit'.

  • Click on the 'Home' button to open the EAO-R Login Window.

If you already have an Elevatorarchitect Online account, simply use your credentials to log in. You can also create an account directly from the Revit environment.
For more details, please refer to the 'Create Account' section.

Starting an elevator project

Once you're logged in, you can start creating elevator projects within your building model.

Define the level of development that should be used on this project phase: LOD100, 200 or 300.
Click on 'New Elevator'.
Note: A floor plan view must be active to start creating a new elevator.

A pop-up window will ask you to set the base point for inserting the elevator families. Click 'OK'.

Select the position for the elevator in the building. This will automatically launch the Configurator.

Building site set up

In the Configurator, first set up the building site information and the model unit, then click 'Finish'.

Configure the building information

Next, insert the general building information and click 'Next'.

EAO-R automatically recognizes the floor levels in your project.
Important: Only floor levels designated as 'Building story' in Revit are considered usable levels within Elevatorarchitect Online.
On this dialog, you also have the option to select a main floor. Click on 'Finish' to start creating a new elevator BIM model.

Creating a new elevator

To start the creation of the elevator BIM model, follow the steps in the configurator, which uses the same pattern as the Elevatorarchitect Online.

  • Step 1: Define the elevator name.
This identity can be used for a single elevator or a group of elevators.
    Go to the 'Next' step.

  • Step 2: Set General Specifications
Choose between 1 car (single elevator) or more (group of elevators).
Set the filters for payload, speed and entrance situations - only front door or front and rear doors.
    Click 'Next'.

  • Step 3: Configure Stops and Entrances
Set up the building storeys with elevator stops.
It is also possible to set the floors with rear entrances, if this option was selected in the previous step.

  • Step 4: Select Brand and Finish
The EAO-R will suggest the Brands that match the previous specifications.
Select the most suitable brand for the project.
'Finish' the configurator to start the BIM model generation process.

After the 3D model is generated on the cloud, you can visualize it and make specific changes to the elevator project (e.g., payload, door width, and so on). For more details, see: Configure Elevator Unit.

Click on 'Update' and the BIM model import process will start creating the elevator families in Autodesk Revit.

The BIM model is created. To generate other elevator models, just follow the previous steps.
The Elevatorarchitect online for Revit window shows all single elevators and elevator groups in the building.

Uninstalling Elevatorarchitect Online for Revit (EAO-R)
