Prerequisites
The car frame's profiles are in their final shape.
Steps
1.) Open the car frame's characteristic points and set the buffer positioning points. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, open the Additional Objects docking window and expand Characteristic points to see the full overview of available points for this car frame (e.g. guide shoes, buffer impact points, pulley beam point, safety gear point, rope compensation point). Select each buffer-related point and, in its Properties window, confirm its [0515] Type (e.g. Buffer impact pt (if 1 buffer) [10] or Buffer impact pt (if 2 buffers) [11]/[12]) and set its [0517] Position using equations such as -0.5*FW - WD - CF_CAR_2_GUIDES + 119.
2.) Note the remaining positioning points the car frame provides. In general, a car frame's characteristic points cover the positions for: guide shoes, buffer, safety gear, pulley beam, traveling cable, suspension-rope access, piston access, and rope compensation. Confirm each relevant point's Type and Position the same way as in step 1.
3.) Save the finished car frame into the DigiPara BIM Library. On the Develop BIM Components ribbon tab, click Save this BIM Component → Update the existing BIM component.
Result
The car frame now has its positioning points correctly typed and positioned, and the finished component is saved into the DigiPara BIM Library. This completes the Session 1 core workflow for the car frame itself.
