Prerequisites
The guide shoe is finished and exists in the DigiPara BIM Library.
Steps
1.) Find a similar car frame and note its manufacturer and RID. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, find a car frame close to what you want to build, and note its RID and manufacturer/library — needed to locate the same record in the Datamanager.
2.) Copy the car frame in DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager. Select the matching car frame record and click Copy BIM Components on the Home ribbon. Step through the 3-step wizard, then Close & Open Copy to open the new record.
3.) Edit the meta data of the copy. Give the copy its own, specific description. Save by opening a new table tab. The new car frame now appears in the DigiPara Liftdesigner BIM Library under its manufacturer.
4.) Check and set the car frame's Height parameter. Still in the Datamanager, review the car frame's Height field and adjust it for your training example if needed. Use Quick Help and, where available, the associated developer .dwg file to understand what each parameter definition means.
5.) Determine related BIM components: assign the guide shoe. In Datamanager, assign the guide shoe you finished to the new car frame and set the relation field to the guide shoe's RID.
Result
A new car frame exists in the DigiPara BIM Library, with its own description, its Height parameter set, and the finished guide shoe assigned as a related component.
