Enter your LDAWP serial number and configure settings

Activate your LDAWP installation with its serial number, and let LDAWP Administrator apply the correct permissions for LDOOP.

Written by Sabine Bunese

Prerequisites

  • The service user is set up in LDAWP Administrator.

  • Your LDAWP Automation Serial Number — note this is a different serial number from your regular DigiPara Liftdesigner serial number.

Enter the Automation Serial Number

  1. Enter your LDAWP serial number.
In LDAWP Administrator, paste the serial number into the Automation Serial Number field.

  2. Click Check to validate it.

Configure Common Settings

Before working through the individual configuration sections that follow, the Common Settings panel in LDAWP Administrator lets you apply a few key values to all of them at once, instead of entering each one section by section:

  1. Set URL.
Applies the drawing generation URL globally, across all subsequent sections.

  2. Set Timeout.
Applies the default timeout (in seconds) to the LDOOP instance, the Drawing Generation Service, and the HTTP runtime all at once.

  3. Sync IIS (optional).
Updates LDAWP Administrator's UI to reflect any manual IIS configuration changes made outside the tool.

  4. Check Permissions.
Verifies user permissions across all sections in one pass.

  5. Fix Permissions.
Resolves permission issues to clear any remaining warning icons.

NOTE: Following sections have already been configured via Common Settings and should only be changed if the warning icon is visible:

  • Application pools: IIS Application Pool: LDAWP (LDAWP_AppPool) and IIS Application Pool: LDAWPCore (LDAWPCore_AppPool)

  • Web applications: IIS Drawing Generation Service (SOAP), IIS Drawing Generation API (REST), IIS Drawing Generation Web Application and IIS Web Admin Web Application

  • Virtual directories: LDAWP_Inbound and LDAWP_Outbound

  • Texture virtual directories: Assets, Bmp and Cache

  • Files format: IIS MIME Types

Review the LDOOP process settings

In the Settings section, confirm or adjust the following, which control the permissions LDOOP processes run under:

  1. ApplicationData.
Path to the installed Liftdesigner settings.

  2. LDOOP timeout (s).
Maximum duration allowed for an LDOOP instance to complete model generation.

  3. UseRegistryUser.
The service user account created for the drawing generation process (Admin or Non-Interactive).

NOTE: If Liftdesigner was installed via a different Administrator account, the DigiPara settings folder must be copied manually from C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\DigiPara to C:\Users\LDAWPServiceUser\AppData\Local\DigiPara

Result: Your LDAWP installation is activated, and LDOOP runs with the correct process permissions under the configured service user.
