Prerequisites
The tank's dynamic property and rule are working.
Steps
1.) Add a characteristic point in the Datamanager profile group. Add a new characteristic point to the tank's profile group, and define the correct code number for it.
2.) Define the point's position in DigiPara Liftdesigner. Reload the product in Liftdesigner to see the point you added in the Datamanager — the new point is located at the component base point by default. Define its position from there.
3.) Save the BIM component back into the DigiPara BIM Library. This updates the modifications made in Liftdesigner back into the Datamanager, making the changes permanent in the database.
Result
The tank has a custom tube position, defined via a characteristic point in the profile group, and the finished component is saved.
Tutorial complete
This was the final step of the PL6 Hydraulics tutorial. You've built an oil storage tank two ways — using DigiPara Liftdesigner's standard geometry, and using fully custom profiles — and added an optional dynamic property, a dynamic rule tying the tank's dimensions to it, and a custom tube position.
