Prerequisites
The property set exists with its individual properties defined.
Steps
1.) Add a BIM Property Rule to scope the property. Add a row to L_BIMPropertyRuleTab. If you leave the rule empty, the property applies to all components (subject to what's selected in Liftdesigner) rather than being restricted to specific ones.
2.) Restrict the property to specific components, if needed. To limit a property to particular component types, list them in BPR_LDXTYPES. Two more fields shape how the rule behaves:
BPR_RULE— adds a predefined value; leave it empty and the field stays empty.BPR_MODE— controls which components the property gets linked to.
For example, to link a property only to LDXHole, LDXDoor, … LDXMachineroomdoor — and not to any other component — list those types in BPR_LDXTYPES and set BPR_IX = 999 with BPR_MODE = 4. [ Screenshot: BPR_LDXTYPES listing specific component types, BPR_IX = 999 / BPR_MODE = 4 ]
Pitfall: Rules are processed in ascending BPR_IX order. Most rule sections end with a BPR_IX = 9999 rule set to BPR_MODE = 4, which excludes any component that didn't match an earlier, more specific rule — including from IFC export. If a property isn't showing up or exporting for a component you expected, check whether that component is actually covered by an earlier rule rather than falling through to this catch-all.
Result
The property is scoped by a BIM Property Rule — either left open to all components, or restricted to a specific set of component types with the correct rule ordering.
