Prerequisites
You understand manufacturer modules and RID areas.
Steps
Add a new manufacturer module
1.) Select the Manufacturer table. Under the General Data group in the Table View docking window, select the Manufacturer entry.
2.) Add a new manufacturer. Use the L_ManufacturerTab button at the bottom of the data grid to add a new manufacturer.
3.) Complete the dialog with your RID number. Enter the RID number DigiPara provided you with — only DigiPara can issue a new RID number.
Usually DigiPara provides a pre-configured, empty manufacturer module that only needs to be imported into the database, rather than being created from scratch this way.
4.) Fill in the manufacturer's description fields. Set MF_DESC to the library's file name, and MF_DISPLAY_DESC to the manufacturer name that should be displayed in DigiPara Liftdesigner.
Check validity and remove a module
5.) Check your manufacturer module's validity. A module's status is Valid, Expiring, Expired, or Invalid. To load your own data correctly into the database, the status must be Valid — otherwise, reactivate DigiPara Liftdesigner or the Datamanager via the DigiPara licensing dialog, or contact DigiPara to verify your current license.
6.) Remove a manufacturer module correctly. Delete an existing manufacturer module (.ldm12) from the database using the proper removal process, rather than deleting its records manually.
Result
A new manufacturer module exists, registered under your assigned RID number with its file name and displayed name set, and you know how to check its validity and remove it correctly when it's no longer needed.
