Step 9 of 17: Copy View Frames and Load a Drawing Border and Title Block

A3.9: Define own Standard Sheet Templates

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Both halves of this article are about populating a sheet's content: bringing in view frames you already have, and adding the surrounding border and title block.

Prerequisites

  • You can create, rename, and remove sheets.

  • A new sheet exists.

Steps

Copy view frames between sheets

1.) Select the view frame(s) to copy. Select via the left mouse button — multiple view frames can be selected and copied at once.

2.) Copy the selected view frame(s). Use the Copy item, or Ctrl+C. Use Paste, or Ctrl+V, on the target sheet.

Load a drawing border and title block

3.) Load a drawing border. Load it via the Sheet Properties, displayed via the Sheet tab's Sheet group. DigiPara Liftdesigner drawing border files start with the bord_ prefix.

4.) Load a title block. Also loaded via the Sheet Properties. DigiPara Liftdesigner title block files start with the titl_ prefix — note the difference between title blocks for a Traction elevator (*_rop_*) and a Hydraulic elevator (*_hyd_*).

Result

You can copy one or more view frames from one sheet into another, and the sheet has a drawing border and the correct type of title block (traction vs. hydraulic) loaded — the two main ways of populating a sheet's content.
