Step 11 of 17: Add View Frame and Component Annotations

A3.11: Annotations Types

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • Your sheet template is saved, and you can clone/copy sheets.

Steps

1.) Understand the two annotation types. Annotations can be created on a view frame basis or on a component basis. Existing annotations can be edited by double-clicking them, both created and edited via the DigiPara Liftdesigner text editor dialog — its DT button adds the default text for the component/view frame.

2.) Add a view-frame-related annotation. Select a view frame first, then add the annotation via the text editor dialog — it's displayed directly in that view frame.

3.) Add a component-related annotation. Select the component, then add the annotation via the text editor dialog — it's displayed in the view frame at that component's location.

4.) Use extended annotation settings for different text sizes. Use {\H.sizeFactorx;text} within the annotation text to vary the text size.

Result

You can add annotations to either a view frame or a specific component, and mix different text sizes within one annotation.
