Prerequisites
Your data pool is configured and the DataManager is installed.
A target manufacturer module exists to hold the new component.
Steps
Open the DataManager and find a similar component.
Use the Table view docking window to locate an existing component under Lift Data that's close to what you need.Add a new data row or copy an existing one to your target manufacturer module.
Select the component's data rows and copy them via the Copy BIM Components dialog.Edit its metadata and key parameters.
Update the description and main parameters so the copy reflects your new component.Develop its geometry.
Go back to Liftdesigner and develop your component. A component's shape, positioning points, and options live in its profile group.Add dynamic properties or dynamic rules, if needed.
Dynamic properties let a Liftdesigner user change a dimension later without reopening the DataManager; dynamic rules add conditional logic scoped to this one component.Save the component back to the database.
Result
A new, working component in your own manufacturer library, ready to load into Liftdesigner projects like any standard or common component.
