Configure the cabin design

Activate and configure the cabin design using the Cabin Configurator.

Set up the cabin design per shaft and configure its walls, ceiling, lights, trap door, mirrors and rails, or emergency door, using the Cabin Configurator.

Prerequisites

  • A DigiPara Liftdesigner elevator project is open (created via the Shaft Wizard).

Activate the cabin design

Steps

  1. Open the Cabin Configurator dialog.
    In the project Project tab → Project group select the Cabin Configurator button.

  2. Activate the cabin design.
    Select which shaft to configure and set the Car Design component state to Active.

  3. Select the model.
    In the Select Product dialog, select the wished configuration, and click OK.
    ​

Result: The cabin design is activated with a default cabin, ready for further configuration.

Configure the ceiling

Steps

  1. Edit the ceiling.
    Click the Ceiling node in the Objects window.

  2. Set clearances and ceiling height.
    In the Properties window, change the clearance settings or ceiling thickness.
    ​

Result: The general ceiling configuration is set tand the panels are adjusted accondingly.

Arrange ceiling panels

Steps

  1. Activate the Ceiling Panels properties.
    Click the Panels node under Ceiling.

  2. Set Column Count and Rows Count.
    Panel width and length are then calculated automatically from these counts.

  3. Manual panel arrangement.
    For manual control of panel's arrangement, size, or count, set the arrengement to manual.
    ​

Result: The ceiling panels width, depth and count will adapt automatically.

Arrange the lights

Steps

  1. Activate the Ceiling Lights properties.
    Click the Lights node under Ceiling.

  2. Change the light model.
    From the property group General, choose a different light component.

  3. Set Column Count and Rows Count.
    Change the rows and column counts for automatic arrangement.

  4. To position a single light manually, set Lights arrangement to Manually, then edit that Light component's location directly.
    ​

Result: The lights count and arrangement will adapt automatically.

Configure the trap door

Steps

  1. Activate the Trap Door.
    Check the Trap Door node (standard unchecked) and in the Properties window choose a model.

  2. Adapt the trap door dimensions.
    Set its width and depth.

  3. Set the location relative to the cabin.
    Adjust its position on the ceiling via the Location properties.
    ​

Result: The trap door dimension and location will adapt automatically.

Configure the walls

Steps

  1. Click a wall item in the Properties window to change its panel arrangement and size.

  2. Set Panel arrangement to Manually to enable the Number of Panels property, which manually sets the wall panel count for that wall.

  3. Adjust the standard panel width via Default Panel Width.
    ​

Result: The selected wall shows the panel arrangement, panel count, and panel width you configured.

Configure mirrors

Steps

  1. Activate the mirror on the chosen wall.
    Mirrors are deactivated by default — activate the component by checking the Mirrors node located under the wished wall.

  2. Select the configuration.
    Choose a mirror configuration from the Select Product window.

  3. Set the mirror size.
    Set the mirror width and height either indirectly — adjust the distance from the mirror area to the wall's left/right/bottom/top edges, or directly — set Width Calculation to Calculate X1 and Height Calculation to Calculate Z1.

  4. Reposition the mirror.
    Via its X0/X1 and Z0/Z1 values.
    ​

Result: The mirror is activated and sized as configured, positioned where you set it on the wall.

Configure hand rails, bumper rails, and kick plates

These use the same configuration as mirrors, above — length, height, position, default length, and distribution.

Configure the emergency door

Steps

  1. Activate the component.
    Click the Emergency Door item in the Properties window; activate the component if it isn't visible.

  2. Set its vertical location and size.
    Via the Emergency Door Location and Size properties.

  3. Optional: Set the key hole's location and size via the Emergency Door properties.
    ​

Result: The emergency door is activated, sized, and positioned as configured.

Configure the seat

Steps

  1. Activate the Seat node.
    Click the Seat item in the Properties window; activate the component if it isn't visible.

  2. Set its location and size.
    Via the seat's location and size properties.

  3. Set its integration options.
    Control whether the seat cuts through other wall components.
    ​

Result: The seat is activated, sized, and positioned as configured.

Configure the Car Operating Panel

Steps

  1. Select a COP configuration.
    Choose anthoer model if wished.

  2. Set its location and number of panels.
    Via the COP's number & location properties, it's possible to set the wall and the distances to position.

  3. Set its integration options.
    Control whether the COP cuts through other wall components.
    ​

Result: The COP is activated, sized, and positioned as configured, with its integration with neighboring wall components set up.

Configure the floor

The floor is configured the same way as the ceiling — the same frame and panel arrangement settings apply, just to the floor instead of the ceiling.
