Prerequisites
The user component's Datamanager records are prepared.
Steps
1.) Add your user component to the edited gear. In the Developer Work Area, add the user component you prepared to your gear.
2.) Develop the user component. Open the user component's own developer section so you can add its profiles.
3.) Add, align, and position each profile step by step. Working profile by profile, add native Liftdesigner profiles so that, together, they look similar and correspond to your CAD model's shape.
Use the GP_USER_PG_nn parameters you filled in the previous step to size and position each profile, so the profiles reflect your gear's actual measurements.
4.) Review the resulting profile list. In DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, review the overview of the profile list for the user component to confirm every profile was added correctly.
5.) Select the developer section and save. Select the relevant developer section for the user component, then save.
6.) Confirm the saved result. Save the finished BIM component and confirm the user component is stored correctly in the DigiPara BIM Library.
Result
The user component now has a set of native Liftdesigner profiles that visually match the shape of the CAD model, built from the gear's specific measurements.
The reusable, low-LOD user component is saved in the DigiPara BIM Library, ready to be used by different gears of the same manufacturer that share the same non-variable profiles.
