Unlike the user component from Steps 7–10 (which is shared across multiple gears), the profiles in this step are the ones that change from gear to gear — so they're added and developed directly under this specific gear, not as a reusable user component.
Prerequisites
The shared, low-LOD user component is saved.
Steps
1.) Add, align, and position each variable profile step by step. Add native Liftdesigner profiles directly under the gear (not as a user component) for the parts of the geometry that vary between different gear variants — such as the specific dimensions of this particular Ziehl-Abegg gear model — so they look similar and correspond to your CAD model.
2.) Review the resulting profile list. In DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager, review the profile list overview for these gear-specific profiles.
3.)Save the finished BIM component. Save the gear into the DigiPara BIM Library. To check the result, you can temporarily move the CAD model to the front so only the Liftdesigner user component and variable profiles are visible.
Result
The gear now has its own variable, gear-specific profiles alongside the shared user component, adjusted individually to match this particular gear model.
