This session show an alternative, faster way to fill in duty table data for many elevators at once, using Excel instead of typing directly into the Datamanager.
Prerequisites
Completed all previous steps.
Microsoft Excel.
Steps
1.) Export a template with one sheet per duty table. On the Datamanager ribbon's Excel group, use Export to generate a workbook with one sheet per duty table table you've worked through in this tutorial (e.g. L_DTTab, L_DTColTab, L_DTColDwgTab, L_DTColDwgDimTab, L_DTVarTab, L_DTVarGroupTab).
2.) Link cells across sheets using Excel formulas. In the exported workbook, use Excel formulas — such as CONCATENATE — to link the necessary cells across the exported and your own additional sheets, so filling in one value updates every table that needs it consistently.
3.) Open the "Import tables from Excel" dialog. Back in Datamanager, use Import on the Excel ribbon group, and select your prepared Excel file. Confirm the record counts shown for each table (e.g. "L_DTTab, 2 records"), adjust the selection if needed, then click Import now.
Result
Your prepared Excel data is imported into the DigiPara BIM Library across all the relevant duty table tables in one operation, confirmed by a per-table import summary.
