Step 1 of 16: Prepare Practice Elevator Projects

B2.1: Preparation Steps in Liftdesigner

Written by Alexandra Göttert

This article is part of a strict, sequential step-by-step tutorial for building Dynamic Sheet Templates (DST) — drawing sheets whose content, positioning, and visibility adapt automatically to each elevator project via rules, instead of being fixed like a Standard Sheet Template (SST). Follow the steps in order — each later step builds on the result of the one before it.

Prerequisites

  • DigiPara Liftdesigner and DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager are installed, with write access to the data pool you want to extend.

Steps

1.) Create two new elevator projects with different counterweight locations. Create one project with the counterweight (CWT) on the left side, and one with it on the right side — this tutorial uses both throughout to demonstrate how a DST adapts automatically to project differences. Load each project without any sheet templates to start from a blank state.

2.) Save the new elevator projects. Save the two projects as DST-CWT_L and DST-CWT_R. [ Screenshot: projects saved as DST-CWT_L and DST-CWT_R ]

Result

Two practice elevator projects exist — one with the counterweight on the left, one on the right — ready to test both Standard and Dynamic Sheet Templates against.
