Step 5 of 10: Edit the Global Layer Configuration's Meta Data

B3.5: Prepare your Layer Configurations Set

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • Completed Steps 1–4 — a copy of the layer configuration exists under your manufacturer module.

Steps

1.) Edit the description and link your prototype DWG file. Edit the global description of the layer configuration, and enter the name of your corresponding prototype DWG file. The file must be located in the data pool's dwg folder — for example C:\MyDatapool\dwg\MyPrototypeDWG.dwg.

2.) Set the output format and unit system via LYGR_MODE. Choose the appropriate AutoCAD output format and unit system for the new layer configuration, using the LYGR_MODE column:

  • 0 — Metric project

  • 1 — Imperial project

  • 2 — AutoCAD Mechanical

3.) Use the default global configuration entry. A default global layer configuration set is already prepared. To configure the global DigiPara Liftdesigner layer settings, use the 999 (Default) LDXNone entry.

Result

The layer configuration's description, prototype DWG reference, output mode, and default global entry are all set.
