Step 6 of 10: Map Layers, Dimension Styles, Text Styles, and Blocks Globally, and Test the Result

B3.6: Map Layers and Styles

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • The global (999 / LDXNone) layer configuration entry exists.

Steps

1.) Map Layer. Under the global LDXNone entry, map DigiPara Liftdesigner component layers (the shaft, car, car door, etc.) to your prototype DWG's layers.

2.) Map Dimstyle. Map each internal dimension style to a target dimension style in your prototype DWG file.

3.) Map Textstyle. Map the internal text style to a target text style in your prototype DWG file.

4.) Map Block. Map each internal static drawing block (e.g. the floor level symbol, mouse cursors) to a predefined drawing block (insert) in your prototype DWG file.

5.) Load a project with your customized layer configuration. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, load a project and select your customized layer configuration via the sheet's Properties, to confirm all four mappings are applied correctly.

Result

All four object types — Layer, Dimstyle, Textstyle, and Block — are mapped globally to your prototype DWG file, and confirmed working across an elevator project's drawing.
