Select and dimension a car door, position it relative to the car.

Written by Sabine Bunese

Prerequisites

  • A DigiPara Liftdesigner project is open, with a car or cabin design already present.

Change the car door dimensions

Car door dimensions are typically synchronized with the landing door. However, you can still adjust them individually.

Steps

  1. Modify dimensions.
In the Door Dimensions group change the height, width, and by using the Extended door dimensions dialog, set some user defined values similar to the landing door.

Result: The car door dimensions differ from the landing door dimensions.

Position the car door relative to the car

The car door position relative to the car also sets the landing door position in the shaft.

Steps

  1. Select the reference point.
Align the car door relative to the left car wall, the car center, or the right car wall.

  2. Set Distance to reference point.
The distance between the car door's reference point and the car center or the corresponding entrance side.

Result: The car door and landing door will be positioned as set.

Set the cabin's clearance to the car door

Steps

  1. Increasing the cabin jamb.
Changing this value will increase the jamb clearance between the car door and the cabin, changing the shaft depth accordingly.

Result: The car door position and jamb clearance to the cabin is set.
