Unlike native Liftdesigner profiles, a CAD model's drawing dimensions don't automatically follow a rule's changes — this step extends the rules so the relevant drawing dimension updates correctly when a CAD-based product option switches.
Prerequisites
The product option rules are saved and working for the CAD occurrences and profiles.
Steps
1.) Open the relevant rule in the Rule Editor. Select one of the rules created in Step 16 that controls a CAD-based product option whose drawing dimension needs to update alongside it.
2.) Extend the rule's matrix with a dimension specification. Add the additional column/value needed to also drive the relevant drawing dimension annotation, alongside the existing product option assignment.
3.) Repeat for each affected CAD-based product option. Apply the same extension to any other rules whose CAD-based components have a drawing dimension that needs to follow them.
4.) Save and test the result. Save the rules, then toggle the affected dynamic properties in DigiPara Liftdesigner and confirm the drawing dimension now updates correctly alongside the CAD geometry.
Result
The drawing dimensions tied to CAD-based product options now update automatically alongside the geometry, instead of staying fixed when a rule switches a CAD occurrence on or off.
